Rodrigo Arias

Hi, my name is Rodrigo, and I’m the founder of Roma Studio. I have over 14 years of experience in both architectural design and construction.
After studying architecture in Mexico, I spent several years working on high-end residential projects before gaining hands-on construction experience in Vancouver. This unique blend of expertise allows me to create designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical and buildable.
I am passionate about creating homes that respond to the needs and lifestyle of each owner, always paying close attention to practicality and detail in every aspect. I really enjoy the process of customizing each space to reflect the unique way every person lives. For me, the most rewarding part is seeing how a design becomes a true expression of someone's lifestyle.
When I’m not designing, I enjoy maintaining a balanced life through activities like running, biking, swimming, and working out. I also find inspiration in playing chess and creating sculptures, which help keep my creativity sharp and my mind focused.
Maeve Talbot-Kelly
Project Coordinator - Vancouver
My name is Maeve and I’m never quite certain how to talk about myself! I’m a keen generalist in both work and life, and am thoroughly curious about such a wide range of activities and topics that it’s hard to know what to include in a biography.
With nearly a decade of experience in diverse project coordination and management, I am a trilingual problem-solver who can adapt easily to changing environments and challenges. I have spent time in many fields, including non-profit management, reforestation, education, art/design projects, and urban planning.
I am passionate about exploring the ways in which space, creativity, and human experience intersect in environmental, urbanistic, and natural ways, and thrive in positions where I am able to mix both logistics and hands-on work.
I am excited to be supporting Roma Studio on its journey to provide tangible, beautiful and simple solutions to some of the housing challenges faced in British Columbia at the moment, and look forward to working with all of our clients and other collaborators!
